Our verification process
- Police verification — background check on the tutor's identity and record.
- ID check — government photo ID confirmed.
- Degree check — claimed qualifications validated.
- Profile review — experience, subjects, and references checked by our team.
Only a tutor whose status is “verified” appears in discovery. A “Police-verified” badge is shown only where that specific check has passed.
What “verified” means
It means our team completed the checks above for that tutor. It is a strong signal, not a guarantee of outcomes — please still supervise early sessions and tell us about anything that feels off.
Safety guidance for parents
- Keep early classes in a common, visible area of your home.
- Use in-app chat and support rather than sharing personal contact details off-platform.
- Track attendance and session notes in the app — they update after every class.
- Report any concern immediately; we act on safety reports first.
